Simple, pure, natural and clean - that is what Finland is!
Finland is perhaps best known for its peacefulness and beautiful nature. Vast forests, a unique archipelago and thousands of lakes make up a striking mixture of wooded hills and waters. Besides scenic northern nature, Finland boasts a high standard of living, advanced economy and technology. As a modern Nordic country Finland combines the rural with the urban - seventy percent of the country is covered with forests and ninety-four percent of the people have mobile phones.
Finnish culture is a mixture of eastern and western influences. Having been ruled by Sweden and Russia in the past centuries, Finland has developed a special character of its own – a fascinating blend of simple Scandinavian elegance and rich eastern diversity.
Finland's temperatures are more favourable than those of most countries at the same latitudes. During the summer months the daytime temperature is generally between 15 and 25 oC (59 oF-77 oF). In early June, the weather is mostly sunny with only occasional rainy days. Simple, pure, natural and clean - that is what Finland is!
