MEET GUIDO BERARDIS

Guido Berardis is Director in DG Internal Market and Services (business-to-consumer services, business-to-business services, online services and postal services, free movement of professionals), Directorate of the European Commission.  Mr Berardis has made a long career at the European Commission. He graduated in Law at the Sapienza University of Rome and has a Master’s Degree in Advanced European Studies at the College of Europe in Bruges.

In Helsinki, Mr Berardis will be discussing the Commission’s Green Paper of April 2011, from the perspective of its potential for measuring the challenges, expectations, or risks associated
with online gambling, and for providing concrete answers. Mr Berardis advocates understanding before acting; to understand is to act correctly.
