How did you find the results of the EL 2011 query?

- I found it very surprising that so many people took part in the query. I found the comments very relevant - not only for congresses but also for other meetings and conventions.

What was the most important issue in your opinion?

- There were two major points. One of them was the focus on best practices. It is very important that we have our innovators and pioneers in the lottery business. When a practice is found to work well in one country, it can be adopted in other lotteries, as well.

- The other key point was the future: For example, Veikkaus is highly advanced in technology. It is interesting to learn what you, for instance, have done. The lotteries of different countries may be in different stages of development in, e.g., technological matters. It is essential that they can learn how others have solved these questions.

How to make a good congress?

- There must be a good balance between business and pleasure! People should be given more time for benchmarking against other lotteries. You have started the preparations in good time; keep up the good work!
