The EL 2011 congress hotels

The Palace Kämp hotels, Hotel Kämp and Hotel GLO, together with the new Hotel Haven and its “sister” Hotel Fabian will offer you elegance and luxury. The Hotel Scandic Marina’s unquestionable asset is its vicinity to the Marina Congress Center. Good service is the cornerstone of all the congress hotels.

Special room rates

Our Congress organizer, Congrex, has negotiated special room rates at all our offi cial congress hotels. The rates are only valid when you make your hotel reservation by using the Congress Registration Form.

Wireless internet is available at all the congress hotels.

All the hotels are about a 30-minute drive from the airport.

If you wish to book a room where smoking is allowed, please mention it whilst making the reservation. Some of the hotels are completely non-smoking.

Hotel Kämp

The ever-elegant Kämp—the Hotel in Finland—is a fi ve-star deluxe hotel situated in the city centre by the Esplanade Park. Belonging to the Palace Kämp Group, the Hotel GLO offers you the same high quality services as the Hotel Kämp, but with a more modern style. In 2010 the GLO was voted the best hotel in Helsinki.

Hotel Haven

The Hotel Haven, member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World, was opened in 2009 and has gained popularity as one of the best hotels in Helsinki ever since—due to the luminous and spacious rooms, excellent service, and very good location.

Hotel Fabian

Boutique Hotel Fabian, Hotel Haven’s “sister” hotel, was opened in a 1930s functionalist building in August 2010. For today’s travelers, Fabian’s functionalist atmosphere and unique interior design offer a delightfully different experience. An EL Congress info desk is open at the Hotel Fabian during the arrival days of the congress; after that the congress guests staying at the Fabian can access the congress hospitality services at the Hotel Haven.

Hotel Torni - a new Northern Light hotel option

This classic, but newly renovated landmark hotel of the Sokos Hotel chain is located in the very center of Helsinki. The 14-story building offers a splendid panoramic city view from most of the rooms. The Northern Light room selection offers you a wide range of choices.

Hotel Scandic Grand Marina

The Hotel Scandic Grand Marina is located on the opposite side of the street to the Marina Congress Center and is thus the choice of those congress participants who want to be on the spot and enjoy the opportunity to pop in at the hotel room between the sessions. The Scandic Grand Marina belongs to the Scandic chain and offers good service with basic rooms.

The Scandic Grand Marina takes environmental responsibility seriously and is entitled to use the Swan —the Nordic ecological label.

Confirmation and cancellation of accommodation

Hotel reservation is confirmed only after the hotel payment has been received. There are no refunds on the hotel payment after 31 March 2011.
